Death has no sting You’ve done it before You just open up And go through a door
Leaving your overcoat To be recycled to Earth Not needed anymore It contains no worth
Leaving linear time Re-uniting your Energy Remembering who you are A Being of Divinity
Viewing the life you had With compassionate eyes In Earth’s duality It’s hard to be wise
You made some mistakes Had lessons to learn But even bad experiences Will cause no concern
For there is no judgment To be faced, at all! Only Compassionate Wisdom On you will befall
And Unconditional Love From All-That-Is, Source All Beings of Light Know you, of course
For you are one too A Light Spark of God You probably forgot As the Earth, you trod
With no limits to contain Your Essence of Light You can make a choice For you, that is right
To stay there awhile In the Love, to bask Or return to Earth To continue your task…
While living on Earth Can you open your door And merge with your Light To shine ever-more?
Only those on Earth Will feel the sting Of your passing But, it also can bring
A way for them To begin to start Remembering the Truth And open their Heart
If they do this They will soon see You are with them Here, and to Eternity

About This Poem
Opening the door within is our true task for life here on our planet of duality. This is a great Awakening and once that door is fully opened it is easy to accept and understand that there really is no death. The misunderstanding has come from our forgetting this when we are born, and being in a dense world of duality there has to be an opposite to ‘life’ and so we created ‘death’ to be a non-existence.
At our present time ‘death’ is a fear that is being powerfully fuelled by governments and mainstream media worldwide. This ultimate fear grips and clutches tightly to people’s minds and makes them easier to control. Once this fear is eliminated it allows us to think and see from a Higher Perspective and be able to look for answers that are not just daily fed to us.
Right now keeping positive, as much as possible, is a priority for everyone. Being stressed suppresses the immune system, and with the revelations that are now coming forth it will be very easy to caught up in the high drama of it all. With this in mind, I have compiled a page of links to my poems that are relevant at this time:
It’s the little things in life Often done without a thought That can make all the difference The falling ripples are caught…
Just a simple Loving smile To a stranger passing by Eye contact giving depth Maybe even saying “Hi” Can give a needed lift To a lonely, heavy Heart Just that tiny bit of Love CONNECTION: Healing can start So Smile With Your Love For All Cause Your Healing Ripples To Fall
Giving a helping hand If noticing someone struggle Even everyday simple things Can cause confusion and muddle For instance, picking up items Others have dropped on the floor A small gesture can spark CONNECTION: Kindness flows more So Lend A Helping Hand To All Cause Your Kindness Ripples To Fall
Walking in the beautiful countryside Or in the bustling town or city We all like order and tidyness Wanting places smart or pretty Regardless of others thoughtlessness Dropping their litter to the ground Pick up what you come across CONNECTION: To Mother Earth is found So Pick Up A Little, If Not Able To Do All Cause Your Gaia Connection Ripples To Fall
Driving in your vehicle Or just standing in a queue This simple thoughtful gesture Anyone can easily do Let someone in before you Waiting patiently behind Acknowledging their presence CONNECTION: People are kind So Let Just One In, Need Not Be All Cause Your Acknowledging Ripples To Fall
When someone is talking If you listen carefully Giving your focused attention Bestows great Blessings, you’ll see Acceptance, Understanding, Worthiness We don’t have to agree with every word Patiently give them time to speak CONNECTION: Everyone wants to be heard So Always Listen Attentively To All Cause Your Focused Ripples To Fall
These are all little things There is always more we can do When we feel with empathy Putting ourselves in another’s shoe But by making a start With easy, simple things Blessings bloom and grow CONNECTION: the Law Of Attraction brings So Give Of Yourself To One-And-All Cause Your Blooming Ripples To Fall
These ripples of connection We can easily daily start Bringing Awareness to others Of living from the Heart Especially to the children Be an example, let them see We learn from our experiences CONNECTION: We are One, in Unity So Be The Love You Are, A Part Of The-All Cause Your Light And Love Ripples To Fall

About This Poem
My aim as I sat to write this poem was to speak of the little things we do that can make a difference. Then, as I was writing I got the ‘ripples to fall’ and knew it needed to be included with each verse. However, this just didn’t seem complete until I knew they needed to also speak of ‘Connection’ and so that part was added.
Once the poem was finished I was unsure of how it read, so thought I’d just leave it and go back another time. I am surprised to see how long it was until I looked at it again.. over seven months! Reading it again, I expected to be making some changes, but it all seemed okay to me. But, what I do find interesting is that the CONNECTION part is much more significant to me now, so perhaps that is why I’ve waited, Divine Timing playing its part!
Those seven months have certainly sped by so extremely fast, but I also know that my CONNECTION (to Spirit) has become stronger in that time too. I have chosen to leave it as written back then, but if I were writing now I would emphasize how these ‘Ripples Of Connection’ are a way of radiating and sharing our Light, which is so needed right now on this planet.
I wrote the above about a week ago but for several reasons have not got around to posting. Today, reading it through before finally posting, I’ve just noticed the date (14th) making it eight months to the day it was written! Synchronicity flows!
Now You Know The beauty of your Soul Life will never break you Your essence remains whole Now… You Know
Now You Know Love is who you are Unconditional and eternal Radiant as the brightest star Now… You Know
Now You Know The Light is a part of you Source Energy, God Shines in all you do Now… You Know
Now You Know Life is about having fun Creating and expanding Forever learning from day one Now… You Know
Now You Know Everything is a reflection Of thoughts and beliefs Mirroring your attention Now… You Know
Now You Know You create your reality You hold all the power To be who you want to be Now… You Know
Now You Know You are singularly unique No one will ever be the same In mind, or in physique Now… You Know
Now You Know You are One in Unity With all life, your Soul A Source Spark eternally Now… You Know
Now You Know We are never apart Separation is an illusion We’re always together at heart Now… You Know
Now You Know The love I feel for you At entry and exit to life It overpowers to guide me through Now… You Know
Now You Know Life is eternal, on the other side We choose to stay, or be re-born To go for another enlightening ride Now… You Know
Now You Know Transitioning between the two At birth and death, a doorway We all pass our way through And There… We All Know

About This Poem
The title of this poem just popped into my head one day, so I wrote it down with a note that it would be a sympathy poem.
I was reminded of how I received a message from my grandmother at Spiritualist church (she died when I was six), With the description of her and what was said, I had no doubt that it was her, but what stuck in my mind most was her saying that when she was alive she would never have set foot in a Spiritualist Church, but now she was so happy to be able to speak to me at one!
When I was writing the poem, I was about half way through when I realized it was not just about someone who has died, but also about babies at birth too.
I believe all babies come with this inner-knowing, so fresh from Source it is the reason they shine so bright and we are so intoxicated by them. In our dense world, and with all of the negative programming that has continued throughout the ages, the majority of children loose their inner-knowing as they grow up. Although, of course, it can be re-awakened at anytime.
I also believe that we are now in a time where children are able to hold onto these truths. Many of the arrivals so far have been given the ‘labels’ of crystal, indigo or rainbow children, but I believe the majority of babies will soon be able to sustain their Light throughout childhood and into adulthood.
Each generation brings change To all the roles of family As each new unit forms Different ways are clear to see
We are moulded by the experiences Shaped in our early childhood Our parents views of their roles Became the truth we understood
Different families merge In life, their ways and goals May differ, so children change Their perception to new roles
Also, over time societies grip Has loosened its stranglehold Now more people are fully aware They don’t have to fit to the mould
In my grandfathers generation Men had to be hard and strong Physically and emotionally Showing emotion deemed to be wrong
Financially supporting their family Through all the trouble and strife War an ever-present reality Burying emotion was a fact of life
And now three generations later The change and growth is clear to see My son and nephews, many fathers Demonstrating devotion to their family
Expressing words of love to their children Cuddling and kissing even into adulthood It’s beautiful to see and know The role of father has changed for the good
The two generations in-between My father and brothers are a part Of this great change I perceive As love worked to open their heart
Through the years it continues on Working it’s way in both directions The younger and older generations Continue to grow in love perceptions

About This Poem
With Father’s Day approaching I wanted to write something new for the day. It’s easy for me to write a poem for Mothers as I have the experience of being one, but obviously I do not know what it is like to be a Father! I can only write from the perspective of the father relationships that I know of in my family.
My son has the most beautiful relationship I know of for a father and daughter. His relationship with her mother didn’t last more than a few months into her life, but he was able to regularly have his daughter stay over. Interestingly, this was due to the lack of contact her mother had with her father who had left when she was little, so she wanted her daughter to have a father in her life.
My granddaughter is now in her twenties and lives quite far away, but she always comes to stay with her dad several times during the year. It is so wonderful to see how close they are: talking about anything and everything, and doing things together. Obviously, as she gets older and hopefully begins a family of her own she won’t have as much time for her dad, but I know the bond they share will always be there, no matter what.
A Father’s role for his daughter Is so important and crucial too She constantly learns so much from him He is a guide, her whole life through
I was Blessed with you as my Father God knew the grander, greater plan Bringing us together for this life For this role, there could be no other man
The early years were a testing time As your family developed and grew I was also beginning to learn, many Lessons in love and life from you
You’d grown up in another era of time When men demonstrating love was frowned upon Of course love was felt, but it was not shown to all Unchallenged, these family concepts can linger on
There were times that I felt a bit awkward I didn’t show my love and affection for you But now I know, this was just a life challenge Now achieved, Love has not limits, it’s true
There are some things we don’t agree upon But as I grew up, you would listen to me Not judging or pushing your own opinions You’ve given me strength to be who I want to be
Life brought us closer together for many years Working in the office of your family business G&G The values I learnt from spending time with you Were also there for anyone else, who chose to see
Leadership, Loyalty, Strength, Courage, Compassion Hard-Working, you gave much more than just a wage Sharing: Achievements, Celebrations, Possessions Caring for all, you taught lessons that never age
Another valuable life experience you have shown Is how to rise up after you’ve taken a fall Life has knocked you down on the ground many times But you always get up, carry on and succeed to do more
Your Positive attitude is a wonderful thing You’re always friendly to everyone around Giving help to anyone who needs it always Your generous support, so many have found
I have discovered that life is supposed to be fun It is the essential way to live and be free From you I could have learned this many years ago Sport has always been your fun-time, it’s plain to see
Coffee shops and crosswords became a thing While together we waited for mum to mend Missing her presence, these passed the time Once home, mum carried on with the trend
And now that I am living just down the road Again we get to share some more precious time Drinking coffee and putting the world to right Sharing and caring makes everything fine
Please know that I will always be there for you Our Love is Eternal, so it will never end Thank you for everything you do.. You are My precious Father, My Support, My Friend
Trina Graves – June 2015 (Fathers Day)
About This Poem
With Father’s Day coming up at the weekend, I am sharing one of my personal family poems, but I still hope it can be enjoyed by others. It starts off mentioning a Father’s Role for his daughter because I am the only daughter, with three brothers. My Father also had no sister’s only two brothers, so a young female in his family was a new experience for him.
As you can see this was written for my father four years ago. Unfortunately, I no longer live ‘just down the road’ but I visit as often as I can. I know both my parents miss not having me living so close, but they know if they ever need me I will be there.
This week I have written two more ‘Father’ poems – Father: The Changing Role and Today’s Father. I will add them both over the weekend.
After this vision in 2014, I Googled: ‘Be Love, Seek Joy’ to see if it was a known quote from anyone – to confirm I wasn’t just remembering it, and to see if it was okay to use it on my Spiritual Quotes To Live By site, without having to credit it to someone, so that I could make a picture out of it as a divider. I didn’t find it, so went ahead.
The flowers are cut-outs from my nature photos I take to make up my quote pictures.
Of course, there are many who wisely say to ‘Seek Joy’ and I especially know that it is often told by Abraham-Hicks – who I have listened to and learned from for many years, but, the important thing is to ‘Be Love’ first. By always coming from a place of love the joy will flow effortlessly, and you can also be at peace knowing that everything you create for your joy will always be for the highest good of the all.
Recently I have been doing my best to add a new post on a Wednesday or Thursday and then another on Saturday or Sunday. I had the above all ready to go last Wednesday but it didn’t feel as though the time was right, so I left it till the next day. However, I was still reluctant to post and then at the weekend it still didn’t seem right, but I also knew this was the next one to add. I have no idea why I felt this way, but today on reading through I feel it is NOW!
Strange, but I do believe that everything happens for a reason and I always do my best to follow my intuition. So now it is!!! 🙂
It was in December 2012 Everywhere was Ascension talk A few days before the 21st I wondered what path we’d walk
Questioning, ‘What is Ascension?’ I went to find answers in my mind A visit with James on the beach And clarity of guidance I knew I’d find
But the beach just didn’t seem right Woods?.. Mountain top high in the air? And then I was in a new place A field full with a travelling fun-fair
James was nowhere in sight So I thought I’d go for a walk Around the sights and sounds As I did, I heard his voice talk
“With all the different rides to go on Life is like a great FUN-fair Exciting, noisy, lots going on And high drama, if you dare”
“Children love all the fun Of a colourful, simple ride Parents know to keep them away From those where scary things hide”
“If you want to get a high view Take a trip on the Big Wheel But the cycle of life has its downs What’s important is how you feel”
“Some people love the fast rides And crave a dangerous element Forces pressing, tossed about Highest drama in physicality sent”
“It’s best to only ride what you enjoy But that’s not what most will do A multitude of reasons why These are some to give you a clue”
“Peer pressure, fitting in with friends Not wanting to feel left out May cause you to take on things That you fear, or just give you doubt”
“Enticed by the hard sell Or blatantly just dared Not wanting to accept defeat Can win over, even if truly scared”
“And then there are also those Who’ve given their control away Unknowingly manipulated by others Which ride?… what to do, every day”
“There are always a few Who just want to take in the sights Not venturing this time on the rides All choices… no wrongs or rights”
As I reached the other side I noticed James just up ahead Looking younger, dressed in jeans Baseball cap, backwards, on his head
Between us a white picket fence I then saw, surrounded the fair A barrier with no visible gate Then one appeared, so I went out there
I asked James what will happen When Ascension comes along He said “This fair will end And all the rides will be gone”
“People will have a choice To continue on in another fair Or let go of the perpetual rides High drama and intoxicating glare”
“To simply BE in peace and joy Living as One in unity Love and Light flowing to all Surrounded by beauty all can see”
Behind James was another field Picturesque of Heaven above Children happily ran and played I could feel the joy and the love
James asked me, “Would you be Willing to let all your family go Especially your little grandchildren And their parents… yes or no?”
I thought all the children would Ascend When that time came to be James said, “Even they have a choice Always freewill for all of humanity”
We walked closer to the fence And I understood its presence there A barrier between the two worlds I could see over, but not physically share
Joyful groups gathered to watch Their precious loved ones go for a ride Knowing they could give guidance Sending their energy to the other side
If felt a sense of peace And then drifted off to sleep That fateful day came and went But Ascension knowledge I now keep

About This Poem
This is another one of my poems that describes one of the visions and messages I have been given over the years. There is a link page to the other poemsI’ve written so far if you would like to know more about this.
This was one of my visions that helped me to accept that there was no way I was just thinking these all by myself. The majority of them had been on a beach, with only a few elsewhere, but they were always scenes of beauty in nature. The way this one took me to somewhere I wasn’t expecting to go, and with how much sense it all made, as I saw and listened to this all in my mind, it was amazing to me.
I did get caught up in the long build-up to that much hyped date – 22nd December 2012 – and when the day came and went, with nothing noticeable happening, I must admit I was a little disappointed. At that time I listened a lot to Abraham-Hicks, so I should have taken more notice of what they were saying, in that it would just be another day, like any other!
There had also been another prediction in 2008, to do with disclosure, that I had also followed and hoped would happen, but it did not. But, my conclusion for that one also made sense for this non-occurrence too.
I believe that these things happen – or I should say, are predicted but don’t happen – to get our attention and to open more minds, so that we can then focus on these things to bring them about ourselves. The quote: ‘We are the ones we have been waiting for’ (June Jordan) has a profound truth, as it is us that need to raise our vibration to bring about these changes.
I also think that this date was a turning point in the tipping of the scales on our planet of duality, as we started to gain momentum in bringing the Light through.
The greatest blessing of my life Was in becoming a Mother Truly blessed three times in all A Divine Blessing above any other
The greatest treasures bestowed on me Worth more than diamonds and gold Were the lives of my precious children Still my treasures, even as we grow old
The greatest experience I went through Was being pregnant with each one I especially remember the delight I felt Growing stronger with each rising sun
The greatest bliss I ever felt Overpowering and so full of love As I first cuddled each newborn I was connected to Heaven above
The greatest love I never knew Until I experienced it myself Unconditional love for my children The purest and highest wealth
The greatest smile I ever saw Gazing at each baby in my arms The recognizing of their first smile Is one of life’s simple charms
The greatest sound I ever heard Brought smiles of pure delight My babies joyous, infectious giggles Made each day rosy and bright
The greatest words said to me Were spoken with love from their eyes Hearing ‘Mum’ for the very first time A joyous moment, as time flies
The greatest happiness I had Through the years abundantly Were doing things with my children With their faces so full of glee
The greatest responsibility I faced Was one I didn’t fully understand Many years later I discovered The power of a Mother’s guiding hand
The greatest nurturing I gave To my children, when they were small Another thing I was to learn later on was They were nurturing me through it all
The greatest hugs I received From my little ones, filled my heart Happiness expressed through hugs Together again, after being apart
The greatest Christmasses all were The ones with my little children Excitement, traditions, decorations, gifts Family togetherness, all having fun
The greatest gifts given to me Throughout the years, without a doubt Were the simple little handmade ones Or a daisy picked when we were out
The greatest holidays were spent Watching my children play in the sun It didn’t matter where we were Or whatever was or was not done
The greatest lessons I have learned Throughout my life, over the years Were created through being a Mother Though many did bring me to tears
The greatest teachers in my life Were my children as they grew Teaching me what life is all about Much more than school could ever do
The greatest pride for me has been Seeing the parents that they now are Loving, caring, always doing their best All my grandchildren will go far
The greatest time of my life Is each and every day Now blessed with another generation The joys just ‘blow me away’
The greatest memories for me Filled with love and of joy Are with my girls Julie and Emma And Kevin my only boy
The greatest thankfulness I give To my Mother, for she taught me The greatest blessing in our life Is Mothering, for God’s love we see

About This Poem
I thought I’d finished writing my Mother’s Day poems for this year with Mother’s Day and In The Arms Of An Angel, but the following day the title of this one just came to me, and I knew it was about being a mother, so had to be written that day as Mother’s Day in the UK was the following day.
After doing my usual of prayer, asking for guidance and having an inner knowing that the poem was already completed and ‘out there,’ I made a list of the aspects I wanted to cover. As I was writing the poem a few more ideas came to mind, so I made a note of them to add too. The last verse was not on my list, but just flowed and I knew it was the perfect ending.
No matter what you may face in this life The good and glad, the struggle and strife Whatever your facing there’s one thing to ask Is it fear or love, that’s bringing this task?
It’s easy to see that hate, jealousy, and greed Are all based on fear – you need to succeed But even shyness and worry are based on a fear Feeling not good enough, you shed many a tear
Whatever the fear – love is the cure So unlock your heart and open the door Love is always around, have faith and believe Just reach out with love and you will receive
Love is incessant and all encompassing It’s always around you waiting to bring Joy to your life, contentment and bliss So open your heart to receive its pure ‘kiss’
You can receive love and give it too The world is opening up for you

About This Poem
The number of my old poems that I have left to share on this blog is obviously reducing over time and I haven’t gotten around to writing many new (shareable) ones lately, so it seems to be getting more difficult to choose which one to post next. However, after the last post of a new poem ‘Pull The Plug’ which tells of many fearful and negative influences in our everyday lives, this poem stood out as a perfect fit.
Think Love ~ Believe In Love ~ Choose Love ~ Be Love
Light Tomorrow With Today As aligned with Source you stay Law of Attraction will obey
Light Tomorrow With Today Negative thoughts are kept at bay Sending problems faraway
Light Tomorrow With Today All good things you’ll convey Happiness will come your way
Light Tomorrow With Today All worries are castaway Your joy will be on display
Light Tomorrow With Today All niggling doubts runaway Your dreams do not decay
Light Tomorrow With Today Life is fun, as a child at play Your bright future sets in clay
Light Tomorrow With Today From your Life Path you will not stray And you’re well-along it by midday
Light Tomorrow With Today Love and Blessings you giveaway Your presence is a healing ray
Light Tomorrow With Today Words of Love and wisdom you’ll say As your pure Soul you portray
Light Tomorrow With Today With your Higher-Self you’ll pray And your Spirit shouts ‘Hooray’
Light Tomorrow With Today The perfect way to live everyday For blessed memories of yesterday Light Tomorrow With Today

About This Poem
When I originally added this quote to my website (back in 2010) I now realize that I didn’t fully understand it. But, through the teachings of Abraham-Hicks I came to see the ‘Light!’
Although the quote is mentioning tomorrow, it’s actually about today. With focusing on all the good and ‘Light’ of today, the Law Of Attraction we will bring a ‘tomorrow’ of goodness and Light. There is no need to worry (or any other negative feeling) about tomorrow if today we are living each moment in positivity, and when a negative thought or situation arises just ‘Reach for a thought that feels better.‘ (Abraham-Hicks quote)
This was the first poem I wrote using this quote, but as sometimes happens, when I finished I knew there was another one to write using the same quote. This first poem was more of a fun one, but I wanted to write one that explained the quote. The second Light Tomorrow With Today was my favourite of the two.
In this constant journey that is our life… Nothing stays the same Whoever we are, whatever we do… Nothing stays the same
From birth to childhood, teen to adult… Nothing stays the same Old age and death the cycle goes… Nothing stays the same
With each new experience we face each day… Nothing stays the same People we meet, decisions we make… Nothing stays the same
Our thoughts and feelings are powerful energy tools… Nothing stays the same In each moment of NOW, we create ourselves anew… Nothing stays the same
With each new thought, good or bad… Nothing stays the same We become much more than we were before… Nothing stays the same
Through the cycle of lives we come and go… Nothing stays the same Manifesting all through our attitude and focus… Nothing stays the same
What’s the purpose of it all you may well ask If… Nothing stays the same Remembering we are all One, Eternally growing So… Nothing stays the same

About This Poem
Many years ago, after several years of marriage, my husband said to me that I had changed over the years. I was in my early twenties and had not begun my quest for spiritual and self-knowledge, so to me, I was the same person I had always been. I denied his observation, but thought that he was the one who had changed! Of course, once I began to learn, I understood the truth that we are all constantly changing throughout our lives, but this memory of first awareness of change, (or should I say ‘lack’ of awareness) has stuck with me.
Writing poems based on the concepts from ‘Conversations With God’ by Neale Donald Walsch were my first ‘quote poems’ and at that time I had no intention to write any more, they were just a way for me to focus on the concepts for my own greater understanding.
All of your life is always created by you Beauty is everywhere, if you choose to see it Create anything by thinking about how it would feel to have it Decide to live each day focusing on the good in all people Enthusiasm is a guide that you are doing the right thing Forgive and let go of all negative past events Go ahead and do what you love Happiness is a way of Being now, and not something to strive for Inspiration is available everywhere Joy is not in material things, it is in us Keep focusing on love, beauty and joy Law of Attraction is always working, whether you believe in it or not Make time every day for fun Now is the only time that matters Open yourself up to receive abundance Positive thinking creates a positive life Quiet moments make it easier to connect to your Source Reality is all about individual perception Stay young at heart by seeing the world through a child’s eyes Thoughts and beliefs create your world Use your emotions as a guide, if it feels good, keep on doing it Value all experiences, even bad ones (they let you know what you don’t want) Whatever you are feeling, you are constantly attracting more of the same X kisses and hugs are deposits of affection, keep family’s love-banks topped up You have all the power, no one else does, unless you allow them Zest for life will increase the abundance of joy in your life

About This Poem
Always on the lookout for ways to develop my understanding of the powerful Law Of Attraction I got the idea of doing this A to Z from the following by the Dalai Lama:
A To Zen Of Life Avoid negative sources, people, places and habits. Believe in yourself. Consider things from every angle. Don’t give up and don’t give in. Everything you’re looking for lies behind the mask you wear. Family and friends are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches. Give more than you planned to. Hang on to your dreams. If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it. Keep trying no matter how hard it seems. Love yourself. Make it happen. Never lie, steal or cheat. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values. Practice makes perfect. Quality not quantity in anything you do. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer. Stop procrastinating. Take control of your own destiny. Understand yourself in order to better understand others. Visualize it. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson. Excellence in all your efforts. You are unique, nothing can replace you. Zero in on your target, and go for it.
As you get older you more often reflect The course of your life and you introspect Remembering all the ups and some downs The beautiful sights and wonderful sounds
The focus you chose and decisions you made Became your life and your path was laid Life continues to expand, there’s always more To experience the joy is what you came here for
Reminiscing those carefree days of childhood When all you wanted was to feel good Playing with siblings, friends or by yourself Imagination was your greatest wealth
Childhood memories of the long ago past Fade through time, but the ones that last Are the happy ones spent with mum and dad Sharing time and love, feeling cherished and glad
Picnics, walks or playing board games The simple shared pleasures are what remains In your memory to treasure forever more The love you experienced developed your core
Time progresses and moves on so fast Life brings experiences, the landscapes vast The greatest gift, if blessed, you will know Is being a parent, as the purest love will grow
Creating your own precious unit of family Brings an overwhelming abundance of ecstasy The immense love you feel will always remain Though expressing the depth is hard to explain
Just watching your baby grow, develop and explore Their world around them brought you even more Happiness in all the countless, simple, delightful ways Treasured memories gathered throughout those days
It’s peculiar, but often you will find The simplest moment stuck in your mind Your child running to you with arms open wide Their pure love and elation they couldn’t hide
The years of parenthood continued on Time seemed slow, but soon they were gone Young adults replaced the children you raised Vibrant, onto their own paths they blazed
With parents eyes you developed a different view The world was changed and you understood too Your parents love for you became crystal clear They did their utmost to love and hold you dear
And now your children are parents also Blessings of love forever bloom and grow Watching your child’s parental love and joy Blossom with each additional baby girl and boy
With the old eyes of wisdom, you can now see So clearly the pure contentment of your family These precious little angels sent from up above Grandchildren bring bliss and quintessential love

About This Poem
Sometimes in my dreams I am the mother to my children and grandchildren at the same time, or I’m a child the same age as both generations with my parents as the parents of us all.. but in the crazy world of dreams it all makes perfect sense!
In a similar way the generations do seem to blend together as the years zoom by at an alarming rate. As my grandchildren are now racing toward adulthood (the oldest is 21 at the end of this year and the next 16 in a few weeks) it seems such a short time ago that they were tiny babies as I watched my children become parents but… it hardly seems any more distance in time that they were babies in my arms too! And yet, in a few months even my youngest child will be 36, which was the age that I became a grandmother.
I’m not sure if it’s a sign of being older or a sign of Awakening that time is losing all meaning to me. The days pass by in what seems a few hours, weeks a few days, months seem to be only a couple of weeks long and years only last a few months! It’s akin to sleep where you close your eyes in one moment and open them in what feels like a minute or two later to find many hours have passed – in the blink of an eye!
Does anyone else feel this way?
I think I got a bit side-tracked here, but I suppose it is about looking back over family life! 🙂
Nature’s secrets are incredibly inspiring and bountiful Life lessons are learnt that are not taught in school Walking in Mother Nature, God’s natural Kingdom With Awareness, will bring you insightful wisdom
Her efflorescence beauty is shown everywhere Even in the depth of winter when much lies bare There’s always splendour and miracles to view When with your Soul Eyes, you choose to look through
In winter when all the leaves fall from a tree The intricate branches are visible for scrutiny Extending onwards and upwards into the sky As we expand our consciousness up so high
Then spring arrives to enliven and lighten our days Nature manifests its perfection in numerous ways Beautifully delicate, pure blossoms flourish for a while Showing us to appreciate NOW, then let go with a smile
Summer bestows nature’s miraculous abundance Flowers overwhelming beauty give more evidence Of the variety of life, it’s shapes, colours and size Everyone is just perfect in God’s All-Knowing Eyes
Summer turns to autumn, or as some say fall Change is in the air and nature heeds the call Leaves burst into colour, then wither and die As do all human beings, including you and I
The cycle is complete, a year has come and gone Nature will eternally repeat it’s wondrous song Teaching us through Awareness, year after year If we are Open to it’s wisdom and ready to hear
All this is provided at a sure and steady pace Nature is perfect, there’s never a need to race Everything is accomplished, in a time of her own Nature’s secret is Patience, to us she has shown

About This Poem
As I have mentioned on some of my other posts, I was rather blind to the awesomeness of nature until I began to follow the teachings of Abraham-Hicks. I was awakened to its magnificence on a simple walk to get some photographs to use for quotes on my website (Spiritual Quotes To Live By) and have been amazed at the sights and lessons taught by nature ever since.
No matter what you look upon Whether physical or not Your thoughts and beliefs have control And show you what you’ve got
Do you look at your past with regret Wishing you’d done so much more? Or do you look back with understanding Knowing expansion’s what you came for?
Do you worry about your future life? There’s so much in the world to hate Or do you view the world you see With abundance of beauty to appreciate?
Do you spend your time each day Rushing from here to there? Or do you do your best to live Mindful of the moments you share
Walking with Mother Nature in your view So much can be seen as all the same But open your eyes and heart to reveal Nature’s awesomeness in every frame
Relationships come, but they can go Leaving us lost and maybe in a rage But every relationship teaches us more About life, as we let go and turn the page
Parents, Teachers, Employers, Spouse Throughout life many have us under their control Or do they just influence our attitude As we are free to choose our own role
When a loved one passes on in death We can grieve greatly and shed many a tear Or choose to focus on all the Love we shared Knowing full-well they are always near
The Law of Attraction rules our world With our every thought we do create Whatever you put your attention on Returns to you, it will always cooperate
Whatever experiences we face in life Improvement we can always arrange Change The Way You Look At Things And The Things You Look At Change

About This Poem
This is one of Wayne Dyer’s most popular quotes and one of my favourites too. It is such a wonderful quote because of it’s simplicity and absolute truth. Once you know and understand it you can apply it to everything in life.
The very first time we had to depart We don’t remember, but it’s deep in our heart We left our true Home up above Coming to Earth to create Joy and Love
All too soon, as a child we face the loss Our parents leave us and we get cross It’s a vital early lesson, we learn then We Only Part To Meet Again
As the years go by, friendships do too Some people have many, others a few Romances are another tug at the heart When often we have to be apart
Leaving our parents is a parting we make It’s a difficult step for each side to take Mothers especially feel the loss, but then We Only Part To Meet Again
All these partings that through life go on Show us that we can survive, and be strong Separating can hurt for a time, but we must Let go and move on, in Faith and Trust
All of us one day will make the journey back Leaving our bodies, no clothes to pack They’ll be rejoicing from many in Heaven when We Only Part To Meet Again

About This Poem
This was one of the times that when I had completed a poem using a quote as the title and theme and felt I wanted to write another but from a different perspective.
The first poem – We Only Part To Meet Again (1) – I wrote for my family and friends, hoping that when my time comes to leave this Earthly life they will be able to read my words and feel uplifted by them. But, I am aware that the words I share also give meaning to others who read them too.
Before writing this second poem I hadn’t given any thought to all the partings we experience throughout our lives, but of course, these are only physical partings because in reality we are never truly apart.. for we are all ONE.
Why do the ‘bad’ things happen Causing shedding of many tears? Atrocities, neglect, futile wars Still going on throughout the years
Why are innocent little babies born With problems right at the very start? Or ‘lost’ even before the first breath Breaking open their parents heart
Why do some people have to struggle Through a life of torment and dread? For them nothing ever seems to go right Poverty and debt looms over many a head
Why do fatal diseases like cancer Exponentially continue to grow? While cures are available, but not used Unless you’re alternatively ‘in the know’
Karma is one of the reasons For challenges we all must face But, we make the choice before birth To learn with experience and good grace
For our Souls are on an eternal journey To experience and grow through life Reincarnating in a myriad of roles We need it all, including the strife
The Law Of Attraction is also paramount An all-encompassing force, a powerful magnet Negativity or positivity breeds and grows Claiming all thoughts and beliefs that fit
We are powerful Spiritual Beings Radiating our energy all of the time Absorbing others emotional rays Can lead us to love or even to crime
Together we can unite our strength Experiments have proved in the past Groups of people meditating on peace Plummets crime, a true love blast!
As a species we are Awakening To the extent of our true power At long last The Light is toppling The Dark’s encompassing prison tower
The Illuminate-elite have finally lost the war They have raged through countless years Controlling and manipulating us all By producing lies and illusions of fears
Their grip on our lives has been brutal Overshadowing from the cradle to the grave Now knowing we are pure Souls of Light We no longer submit to be their slave
The rocky days ahead may be tough As their ghastly deeds all spill out But nip in the bud any anger or revenge Compassionate forgiveness needs to be felt
For in the grand old scheme of it all There has to be those to play the part Of the ‘bad’ guys, for the good to rise So love them all unconditionally from your heart

About This Poem
Well, Nothing Is By Chance… but this poem took me totally by surprise!
I wanted to write a poem so I chose a quote that jumped out at me from my long list. As I made myself a coffee and toast, I began to think of how it would shape and knew it would obviously be about coincidences and synchronicity. Not wanting to start writing without my usual prayer of thankfulness and asking for guidance, I first checked my emails while I had my breakfast, which led me to read a few articles from a blog I had been sent a link to a couple of days previously (remember Nothing Is By Chance!)
Years ago I followed many blogs etc.. that dealt with the dominating elite of our world, of how we are controlled and manipulated. But, I eventually realized that as I chose to focus my attention on the positive I had to let go of keeping the wrong-doings so fully in my sight. The only blog I continue to follow, from back then, is Blossom Goodchild because her channellings from The Federation Of Light are so full of love and upliftment and sing so true to me. And it was a link from Blossom that led me to the blog of Deus Nexus.I read the article she linked to about observatories closing and began to browse the blog. I immediately realized it was the type of site I used to follow, containing all the latest news about what is going on, but there was also a balance of ‘good’ stuff too, so I went to take a look at the ‘About’ page. There I read the poem ‘Consider A Tree’ by David Nova(the author of the blog) and I immediately knew this was a synchronistic link. The poem is so beautiful (please do read it) I just had to ask if I could share it on my Spiritual Quotes To Live By site. (permission was granted)
From their I found that David is the author of a metaphysical fiction series, so I checked Amazon and read the beginning of his first novel and was hooked! So I bought it. I haven’t had a lot of time for reading since then, so I am only a few chapters in, but it is very intriguing.
So, because of this synchronistic link the darker side had crept back to my attention.
Going back to the creation of this poem.. After praying for guidance and visualizing the completed poem ‘out there’ uplifting people around the world, I got ready to write… I read the quote again and thought of coincidences, but nothing came to my mind, which is very unusual for me. I read the quote again and thought, ‘What am I going to write?!!!’ And the questions of the first four verses flowed quickly. As I was writing them I was thinking this is way too negative! – I try not to have anything negative in my poems unless it is really needed to tell the story or help explain a concept. But, I knew that as there were questions, I would go on to answer them.
The answer verses followed easily but then I was writing about the ‘dark side’ in more detail than I would like. I finished the poem and didn’t even bother to print it out, I just let it go, thinking it was all too negative. Usually when I am not happy with a poem I continue straight on to write another with the same quote, I was thinking this would be so easy to do with this one, as I already knew I could write about coincidences. However, nothing flowed, so I gave up.
The following day I had another attempt to write a poem with the same quote, but still nothing! It was interesting that I just couldn’t seem to get the words for a quote that I knew I could write so much about! So, I re-read the first one and gave it some thought…
If I truly believe – and I do – that ‘Nothing Is By Chance‘ – then I was supposed to write this poem and not one about coincidences. And, if I truly believe in what I wrote – and I do – then I should share it… negativity and all!
By the way, because of the way this one developed, I also believe that once this poem is published I will easily write another using the same quote.. so watch out for that one too!
The Law of Attraction is becoming well known We are all searching for the way To bring more Joy and Love to our lives To appreciate each and every day
You are the creator of your own life experience Can be difficult at first to take on “How can that be true for me?” Most would say “I wouldn’t create everything in my life that’s gone wrong”
But the Law of Attraction is a powerful force Which we apply just by our thought It knows no difference, yes or no are the same So everything to your life you have brought
Always remember a positive thought Is more stronger than a negative one And keep on reaching for better thoughts This ‘work’ is on-going, it’s never done
It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your past All that matters is this moment right now By accepting yourself where you are You can go on to create a life that will – Wow
To create the beautiful life of your dreams Just focus on following your bliss If you let go, and are open to let it all flow ‘Coincidental’ opportunities you will not miss
Each day bring your focus on all The Love, Joy and Beauty around Live each moment with Inner-Peace And Heaven on Earth you will have found

About This Poem
I have learned and come to understand how the Law Of Attraction works mostly through the teachings of Abraham-Hicks, which is why I am drawn to using their quotes as titles and themes of my poems. This quote is one that that many find hard to get their head around when first hearing of the Law Of Attraction, and needs full understanding to implement into everyday life.
By giving attention to anything you don’t like, or want, in your life, you are actually going to bring yourself more of the same! Of course, it’s impossible to never think of, or see anything you don’t like, but by being aware of your thoughts and feelings about things, enables you to choose whether to continue with the thought or change it to something that feels better. In fact, knowing what you don’t want, is kind of essential to knowing what you do want, just don’t spend too much time on the negative!
Title Quote: When They Placed You In My Arms,
You Slipped Into My Heart. (Unknown)
When they placed you in my arms For the first time after your birth Is my most precious memory Of my life here on this Earth
After endless months of waiting Anxious that all would be well Relief mixed with anticipation As I floated under your spell
My love for you had grown stronger Each day through pregnancy In that moment it exploded Awakening the Core of me
I gazed tenderly into your eyes Then mine watered with a tear The pure bliss of the moment As I embraced you, my dear
The weight of your little body As I held you close and tight Feeling your physical presence Sensing your true Spirit Light
The warmth of your precious form Now tangible at long last Melted time’s candle to me You became my future and my past
The sheer miracle of life I possessed in my arms Blessed always to be Captivated by your charms
When they placed you in my arms You slipped into my heart Through Eternity we are bound Entwined Souls to never part
Trina Graves – 24th February 2017
About This Poem
As I say in this poem (and have mentioned before) this is my most treasured memory and is what I recall whenever I want to feel a strong sense of love and upliftment, it never fails to bring a smile to my face and warmth in my heart.
Tomorrow never comes We all know this is true For once we get there Tomorrow’s not in view
We can only live each day One at a single time Being in the present moment We are living at our prime
Live each day in love and joy Focused from your heart And see them returned to you In abundance, if this you start
The Law of Attraction brings to you Everything you think and feel So now is the only time to be happy As you create the you that is real
It’s a short quote, in simple words But with so much wisdom to convey To live your life achieving your dreams… Light Tomorrow With Today

About This Poem
When I began collecting quotes for my website Spiritual Quotes To Live By I came across this one from Elizabeth Barrett Browning and added it because I liked it. I realize now that I never really understood the meaning. Through learning more about the Law of Attraction since 2010, I now clearly see that by living today focused on love, peace and happiness will more easily bring a tomorrow full of the same.
I write poems using quotes as the title and theme to add interest to my website, back in 2016 I was working my way through a list of quotes. Sometimes when I’m writing I get other ideas for using the same quote, or I might not be totally happy with the first poem so I’ll write another. This was the second poem on this quote (which is why it is numbered) I will add the other poem at a later date.
Many people shape our lives Especially during the younger years With us through the blessed joys And there to wipe our tears
Some are as large-as-life Their presence takes centre stage It’s easy to see how their character Is written on our biography page
But some are quiet in nature Their presence ever-serene Life continues on around them As though they’re hardly seen
They may not have much to say But their words are kind and pure Just being in their company Will affect you at your core
They are the ink to our pen Without them we couldn’t write The story of our lives, no words Would show in dark or light
Their flow brings our life to focus Through the years their aura imparts Blessing us with their lighted goodness That moulds and forms our hearts
Jennie, my maternal grandmother Was one, a truly gentle Soul Petit in stature, not essence An epitome of the mother role
A mother in time of war I can’t even imagine the fear Daily she must have felt In London with bombs so near
Giving up home and possessions Evacuating, for her daughters sake Many years would pass by before Their own home she could re-make
Times were hard and relentless Death and Illness she had to face But her beloved five children Were cocooned in her warm embrace
Years passed as they all fled her nest Moving on, to create their own family And onward through the generations Her tranquillity shone out so clearly
On the passing of her husband Alfred Frail and alone, the future bleak? She had another lesson to teach us all How to live on? What should you seek?
The blessing of her life was her family And through them she developed strength Staying with grandchildren brought her such joy Her years continued for a much greater length
It’s now been 24 years since she moved To our true home in the Heavens above But what she left behind in many hearts Is her pure and simple, unconditional love
Gentle was Jennie’s nature Pure was Jennie’s Soul: : Jennie taught by example Peace: life’s precious goal

About This Poem
I wrote this poem for my mum’s birthday last year, I made it into a card so that the first part of the poem was on the outside, then when she opened it there was a full length picture of her mum with the rest of the poem about her.
I have written several poems for members of my family and had no intention of sharing most of them, but reading through them I thought some could be suitable to share, this being one.
From the moment I was born Many roles did I receive Placed within my Being What depth would I believe?
A Human-Being of planet Earth A Girl of physicality English by place of birth Premature was little me
Born into the Working Class No ‘silver spoon’ to be fed No ‘blue blood’ in my veins Into this Ordinary Life I was led
First Daughter to my parents First Granddaughter on both sides A Sister to my brother Niece and Cousin, timing provides
Five roles of relationships Fifteen Family Members I affected But none will observe the same In the Baby they inspected
A Son or Daughter is a different person To each and every mum and dad Gender expectations are impressed From their own upbringing they had
A midwife delivered me that night At home, doing her chosen work Present for the miracle of birth My entry an Occupational Perk
Visiting Doctors and Baby Clinics About the town, going for walks I became a Patient and a Citizen A source of gossip in their talks?
Overly shy, I did turn heads As I screamed the places down Many must have considered me A Toddler nightmare, with a frown
Two more brothers came along But no sisters were for me My brothers have a different Sister From the perspective of each three
Starting school I became a Pupil To be taught all the right ways Of education at that time And the rules a Child obeys
Through the many years of schooling Various teachers made their mark I, their Student was seen differently A Character of light or of the dark?
Different levels of friendship Came and went over the years Playmate, Classmate, Acquaintance, Friend Some brought joy and others tears
Out into the world of work Stacking shelves as a teen An Employee I became Another role to be seen
Many jobs, many views Of people I would instigate Interactions and experiences Would affect my chosen fate
Being in love changes people The pair together and those around The power of love is so great Its expression and depth truly profound
Seen with eyes of love is so awesome When two blend it’s like a drug Loosing yourself in the emotion Even apart, enveloped in a warm hug
To the one who stole my heart I became their Lover, Fiancee, Wife So intoxication the roles I played But would not remain throughout my life
My most blessed role of all Would bring bliss so pure and true Becoming a Mother woke me up Unconditional love coming through
I placed this role as my priority And was blessed with two more Angels added to our family unit To love, cherish and to adore
I am a Mother to three children But, each see a different kind Inner truths and insecurities Develop and influence the mind
I saw my role as a joint Parent As two equals in the giving Babies need nurturing and love Adults adapting to daily living
I never knew for many years The change in my role of a Wife My intense love for our children My husband felt as lack and strife
So another role I took on
A Divorcee feeling remorse But it heralded great change My true purpose was on course
I became a Spiritual Seeker Limitations gone, I was free To live and learn and grow To be The Me I Came Here To Be
Becoming a young Grandmother Was the icing on the cake Unconditional love for these jewels Brought the Poet in me awake
Many lessons I have experienced From becoming a Mother-In-Law Different characters and views
Letting go of any control at all
Daughter, Sister, Mother Friend, Stranger, Wife Spiritualist, Blogger, Inspirer Are just a few roles of my life
With each, whoever’s looking At me, has filters on their eyes Their perception alters the view Adapting to where their truth lies
But who am I to me? Is all I should focus on It can take many years to see I am more than the roles I don
I am a Spiritual Being first A Spark of God to spread the Light I came here to experience it all The joys and sorrows are all alright
I am United in Oneness With All-That-Is and will ever be I am the Alpha and Omega We all share this in Individuality
Before my birth I knew it all At my death, I will re-unite All my experiences good and bad Bring truth and clarity of sight
Each role that I have played In this beautiful game on Earth Has brought me to where I am Opening the knowledge of my worth
Although these words are about me My life and the path that I took We all play roles in our own story What are yours? Why not take a look?

About This Poem
I was reading a post from Amira: Accepting Change, Releasing Limitations, and while reading it a quote came to my mind, the combination of the two inspired me to write this poem. I am pretty sure the quote was from an unknown source and I thought I had it written down ready to add to my quote site, but I couldn’t find it. From my memory it was: “I am a Mother to three children, each of them has a different Mother and none of them are me.”
Many of my poems are personal to my life and might be totally irrelevant to others lives, but I believe reading other peoples ‘stories’ can shed light on our own and open doors to greater understanding.
I thought this photograph of us playing roles was perfect for this poem!
We Are Being Taken Over… This is NOT a conspiracy theory! You will KNOW this to be true If you read all the way through.
We Are Being Taken Over… They are already here living among us They arrive each and every day There is no stopping them.
They are positioning themselves in all walks of life All races, all cultures, all classes, all abilities They are willing to infiltrate them all.
They don’t have control yet But they will… it’s only a matter of time.
Slowly, but surely they will take over… They will be in control of every village, every town, every city, every country and every nation.
They will be in every profession… Teachers, Shop Workers, Lawyers Nurses, Social Workers, Authors, Doctors, Carers, Bankers, Police… Every single occupation.
They will command and be the governments and armies of every single nation.
Their influence will touch the lives of us all.
They will be the parents of the next generations Instilling their own beliefs and their own way of life On the children of the future.
They are everywhere, waiting for their time. In the years ahead they will take over… No one will be immune to their domination They will have total control. Wherever you go on this planet… They will be there.
Are you concerned about this? Are you worried what will happen? Surely somehow they can be stopped? What if we close our borders?
But they are not arriving in that way They have another means of entry.
This invasion has been going on since humans began We are powerless to stop it.
But, thankfully scientist have recently discovered that we can gain control. They have found out that when these Beings arrive they are not fully programmed. We have the power to install the software that can benefit us all.
It is a mammoth task, but it’s doable, if enough of the right people take their part.
These beings use a type of mind virus to adapt to our world They learn to behave like us humans by memes. They watch our every move, listen to our every word
Copy our mannerisms, actions and habits. They can even tune into our thoughts So we will have to be Aware at all times.
We need to use our hearts and minds to focus on how we want our world to be… Loving, Peaceful, Supportive, Generous, Helpful,
Compassionate, Forgiving – in all its Diversity. Caring and Sharing the abundance of resources available for everyone. Living in Appreciation and Gratitude. Treasuring our planet and every living thing on it. Then we can programme the new arrivals with these qualities.
We will have to be very careful to do our best to live these qualities ourselves
Because their complete core programming takes about six years. It will be very easy at first to nurture them
Showing them only love, compassion and joy. But, as time passes and we have bad days
Getting stressed out about this and that, it becomes harder to stay aware…
They will always mimic our every mood, and install it.
As I said, it is a tremendous task, but it would be worth it… What a wonderful world we could all share in the future. And in our aging years we would be surrounded by loving, caring citizens of Earth. We would be joyously happy to let these new beings take over, everywhere. The future of life on Earth would be safe in their capable, caring hands and hearts.
So, who among us is up for the job?…
Well, actually, they have already chosen you!
Who are these infiltrators? And where do they come from?
They are Pure Beings of Love and Light Sent to Earth to guide us, and to teach us to remember who we are…
We are Beings of Love and Light.
They come from God/Source/All-That-Is.
Trina Graves – July 2016
About This Poem
This poem is based upon the following quote by Rev. James A. Simpson.
“An army is invading our country. It is going to capture and take possession of everything we have, every political office, business, school, college and council. Nothing will be left to us. This army is composed of the babies and youngsters in our homes. They are the future citizens, the future teachers, directors, politicians. What happens to them, the kind of people they will become, will determine the quality of life in this country twenty-thirty years from now. No task is therefore more important than the education and training of these children in honesty, self-discipline, generosity, love and forgiveness.”
When I first read this quote I thought it was very thought provoking in it’s truth. I had previously been reading about how children have no filters in their early years and just absorb everything from those who surround them, so I wanted to bring these together in a poem. I also liked the idea of making it like a Conspiracy Theory of us being taken over, so I did not want to reveal until the very end that it is all about children.
Time: A simple word that evokes so much In the modern world it imprints on all we touch Lives are ruled by the ticking of the clock Conforming to its pace, we heed the tick-tock
It’s a man-made concept all so easily seen When twice a year we have to adjust our routine Changing the clock first forward and then back Why does it continue? Is it sensibility we lack?
Fitting everything in at the allotted time Being late is frowned on, considered a crime Forcing people to be the same as each other Obeying the system, natural alignment we smother
In the times of old, nature ruled the days Governed by the sun’s lightening rays Dawn, mid-day and dusk were the cue To the timing of all they needed to do
It’s funny how the same minute can be long or short Hours, days, even years, it seems time can distort Why is it that the exact same duration Can change? Is there really an explanation?
At embarrassing moments time just stands still As our mind freezes or overdrives to try and fill The awkwardness with maybe something funny to say While we silently wish it would all just go away
As we get older it seems that time goes so fast Speeded up from our childhood days, long in the past When school summer holidays seemed to last forever We played happily all day, no matter the weather
There are things we experience where time goes so slow Dealing with pain, physical or mental, is one we all know It doesn’t even matter if the pain’s not our own It’s excruciating when loved ones suffer and moan
Special occasions with family and friends speed by Enjoying time together, no matter the reason why Moments to treasure in our memory forevermore Love is the key to transcend time’s prison door
Feeling lonely or neglected time drags its feet Sinking deeper with the darkness, sat in our seat Days are endless, stretching into the gloom The pendulum of time heavily digs a tomb
Doing something we love time will rapidly pass We don’t notice the hours go by so fast Engrossed in pursuing our passion of heart Time’s inconsequential from the moment we start
Someone sitting quietly in meditation Can experience time in it’s duration As though an hour is a few minutes, no more As through they’re consciousness they explore
But another can sit the precise same stretch And be tormented with all the thoughts they fetch Bored or anxious and worried about what’s ahead Time’s lethargic pace expands the points they dread
In childbirth time plays an important part Counting the minutes right from the start Hours draw out as the intensity increases But time stills, as the magic moment reaches
With a baby, days and time have no meaning at all Except for the duration between the newborn’s call Getting everything done in between each wail We’re wrapped up in the little one’s timescale
Being a parent time is a total quirk The monotony can really be an irk But looking back, where has the time gone? The years flash by, we wish they’d prolong
The baby days that seemed so endless at the start Are over so fast, now time hits our heart As our children zoom through the years ahead Before we know it, from the nest they have fled
As age takes its toll time can certainly slump Especially if taken the attitude of a grump But those who keep mind and body active Will tinker with time and enthusiastically live
So have you noticed the difference between Time being fast or slow, or how it is seen Our perception alters our focus upon Each moment, making it short or long
All of the spans of time so vast Are caused by negative attitudes cast Upon the focus, the perceptive view Sending time off and all askew
When thinking positive as much as can be Time moves faster, it is so easy to see How living joyously in the moment brings more To enrich our lives and enlighten our core
When aligned with your Source, the real you Living in joy, with love coming through There’s no need to watch the clock on the wall Law of attraction will answer you’re heart’s call
Every instant of time is a pinprick Of eternity’s candle, we are the wick Vital to it’s radiance, expanding perpetually Aligned with Source we are timelessly free

About This Poem
When I sat to write the poem for this quote I knew I wanted to cover how our perception of time is affected by what we are doing and our thoughts. I follow the teachings of Abraham-Hicks so I always do my best to focus on the positive and not give my attention to the negative, so I try not to include negative aspects in my poems unless I feel it is needed and I would only use them sparingly. However, I felt that this poem needed all of the contrasts, so it has many more negative experiences than I would usually include.
Most people agree that time seems to speed up as we get older, but I truly believe that time has actually sped up since we moved into the ‘New Age.’ When I look back to the 70’s/80’s/90’s I can’t believe all the things it was possible to do in one day! And now, my days go by so fast, in comparison it seems as though what was a morning is now a whole day! I know I am older so have slowed down, and as much as possible I spend my day doing what I love to do (which speeds time up) but, as each month passes in what seems not much more than a week, I sometimes wonder, with the ever-increasing speed, what will eventually happen?
However, I know that time is just a concept we need to experience our life here on Earth and in other dimensions it does not exist in the same way or at all. And most importantly the only time I need to be: concerned about, focused on, appreciating, living, being, loving, blessing, enjoying is NOW.
As a little girl I held your hand tightly For the world was a scary place. As the years went by our clasp loosened As I became eager to explore Then the day came that we both let go And I was able to walk alone.
Whatever I have faced in my life I’ve known your hand is always there For me to hold, if I need. The warmth of your love And guidance of your hand Has steered me through the crowd of life To bring me through.
Now as the years pass I hold my hand out to you For I will always be there If you ever need me. Take my hand and together We can walk the rest of the path.

About This Poem
When I was about nine or ten, I wrote a poem for my mum called Mother’s Hand. My mum still has it! So, when I began writing poems (as an adult) I wanted to have a go at re-writing it for her birthday.
I can’t believe it was almost seventeen years ago! And there was me thinking she was getting old reaching sixty-three, but in very few years I will be that age!!! Over the years I have written quite a few poems for my parents as they always love to receive them on special occasions. My mum will be eighty in October, so hopefully I will be up to the challenge of writing her something she will treasure. Now, as each birthday, anniversary and Mother’s/Father’s day comes round I begin to doubt that I can come up with something, but when I ask for guidance, it always comes. 🙂
I Am a Being of Light and Love Sent to this Earth from above My true self is a Spirit, so high I Shall Not Altogether Die
I am a part of the Infinite Whole The Light of God contained in my Soul I remember this, whatever I try I Shall Not Altogether Die
No matter which path in life I choose I will succeed, I never lose Lessons are learned, even from a lie I Shall Not Altogether Die
I came here to always do my best Sometimes it seems life is a test But it matters not if I laugh, or cry I Shall Not Altogether Die
Love and joy are my goals, while I’m here Following my intuition, it becomes so clear These are the treasures, so in Bliss, I sigh I Shall Not Altogether Die
Loved ones leave, as I know they must Although I grieve, with faith I trust Our Love will unite us, that is why I Shall Not Altogether Die
One day my body will cease to be But I know that’s not the end of me I’ll be Aware when my passing is nigh I Shall Not Altogether Die
My Soul will journey on, and on Through many lives, and bodies I’ll don My Spirit growing as the times go by I Shall Not Altogether Die
About This Poem
One of my all-time favourite quotes is: You are not a human on a Spiritual journey. You are a Spirit on a human journey. (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin) so this is something I do my best to convey in many of my poems.
I have no doubt what-so-ever that we survive death. In the past I have had many messages through different mediums that were either unusual knowledge of myself or members of my family, or, I was given advice that would have a dramatic affect on my life. I no longer go to Spiritualist Church for various reasons, but I am grateful for all the messages and knowledge I gained over the time that I did.
‘Sympathy’ poems are something I am drawn to and love to write. Death is a large part of life but is not talked about by so many people, it is also mostly considered to be a feared and extremely sad event. My wish with my poems is to bring this topic to everyone, not just to those who are grieving, and to shed light and cheerful acceptance on dying.. for we will all go through it ourselves one day!
We want our children to be good Do as told, and as they should We give rules and we instil Our beliefs, their minds we fill With all the ways that we know how To live as best, in these times now
From the moment of their birth And for all their days on Earth Our one hope above the rest Through all joys and times of test Is that they will be happy every day No matter what will come their way
We all wish them lives of love Some wish alignment with above We all want them to be healthy Some wish them to be wealthy But all these are not true worth Without happiness and mirth
Making them happy seems the way To please them each and every day Giving all we can to their joy Buying each a brand new toy Not having much time to spend On making a living we do depend
The cycle of life continues on Before too long the child is gone Now an adult the world will see But your child they’ll always be Still you long for joy and happiness Their life to be full of purest bliss
However, you know life will impart Many arrows deep into their heart Each one’s shadow will hit you too Because they are a part of you You give your love and support Wishing more you could have taught
If I knew then, what I know now So different I’d be, I would allow My Inner Guidance to show the way To all I think, and do, and say My children I know I guide By my ‘Being,’ I cannot hide
Back then, I know I did my best So I can lay my past to rest Now time moves on, flashes by I have more to give, I can but try Showing other generations a way My words of truth I yearn to display
We cannot make them be Open your mind and you’ll see Everything we are, they will take And with that, they will make Our attitude and feeling core Will open their life-path door
Children are the greatest treasures Our lives continuing measures Of all we are and will achieve Growing on from what we believe How we live, what we are What guides us, near and far Our hopes, our loves, our goal How much we follow our Soul
The greatest gift we can give To our children is to live Always guided by our Light Our Inner Knowing shining bright Giving it strength by positive thought It is by example children are taught Be their map for a life of joy For every precious girl and boy

About This Poem
I write poems using inspirational quotes from my website: Spiritual Quotes To Live By. After praying for guidance I write what flows, but sometimes once the poem is finished, I know I need to write another one using the same quote. This was one of those times.
The full quote from Oscar Wilde is: The Best Way To Make Children Good Is To Make Them Happy. I have cut it short for this poem just to differentiate between the two.
The first poem focuses more on how children learn by example but also have their own inner guidance. I felt I needed to write more to include how wanting our children to be happy is something that continues throughout their, and our, lives. – Even my parents, still say all they want is for their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be happy. – I also wanted to write a more personal poem.
As we grow older and look back at our children’s childhoods it is so easy to see the mistakes we’ve made and to wish we could have done things differently, but to have inner peace we have to accept that we did the best with what we knew at that time.
I share some of my poems with others in my family, especially if I write a personal one for them, but most are not on the same wavelength, yet! Which is one of the reasons I write, someday they may see and know that they were my inspiration.

About This Poem
I, like many others around the world, felt a change when the wonderful Wayne Dyer made his transition to the other side. His loving presence is now so much closer to us all. From his humble beginnings to becoming the world-renowned author and spiritual teacher, he was, and still is, a source of abundant love, wisdom and inspiration.
I love so many of his enlightening quotes and this one was an easy choice to use for a poem. I began with a list of ideas to cover, obviously music was the first and I also wanted to include websites and writing to remind myself to ‘get on with it!’ I have a close friend who is an artist so that gave me another verse, and performers of stage and screen were an obvious option. The rest just came out in the writing.
I believe we are all here for a reason, whether it’s to become known worldwide or just in a small family group, it makes no difference – everyone is important and has a vital part to play in this game of life.
With each new day as I awoke Like a spark I’d remember you were here A smile would warm my face and heart Those moments I treasure, so clear
I counted the weeks as they passed by Your presence I felt growing strong My joy and excitement thinking of you Those moments I treasure, my life long
You wriggled and kicked more powerfully each month My body stretching as it nurtured your growth Blossoming too was my complete devotion to you Those moments I treasure, Unconditional Love my oath
Then the moment arrived for us to meet face-to-face Time stood still with a tangible sense of awe The miracle of pregnancy and birth is a blessing in life Those moments I treasure, forever more
Now the years have passed, and you are grown But my memory of pure Bliss can still bring a tear When you were first place in my arms That moment I treasure, most dear
You are: my Joy, my Precious, my Beloved, my Life I’ve Loved you unconditionally right from the start Though life separates us, our Love continues and unites Our moments I treasure, Eternally you are part of my heart

About This Poem
For all the special occasions I often write poems for my parents and put them in home-made cards using photographs of the family, they love this and with each one I do it seems they are more over-joyed. So, just before Mother’s Day in 2015, I sat to write a poem for my mum. However, after praying for guidance this poem was the result!
I was taken back, many years, to the excited feeling as I awoke and suddenly remembered I was pregnant, I loved being pregnant so this was a delight each morning. So, I just had to put that into words and then the rest of the poem followed on.
I gave my two daughters a print of the poem on a photo of me holding them as babies for Mother’s Day, as they are mother’s too.
