I give you this gift Intending it to lift You, as it did me In the making, you see..
All the hours that went Into this present I sent My thoughts were of you And the time really flew
Love was in my heart Right from the very start As for you, I truly care My love, I want to share
The true power of thought Is not so often taught
What we do, and do not see
Everything is an Energy
Imbued in this small thing Is the joy that you bring To me, when I think of you And my love is in there too
With this gift, I impart A pure energy from my heart Love & Light, powerful rays May God bless you, always

About This Poem
I had already written ‘A Handmade Christmas’ a few days earlier, but what I thought I could use as a short poem to give at Christmas turned into something way-too-long, but I was happy with it, so I knew I needed to write another!
With the intention of writing something that conveyed the thoughts that go into making something for someone you love, and the power of thought, this poem was also short enough for me to make into tags for my handmade Christmas gifts.
As each generations continues on The hype of Christmas seems to grow But some simple things never change.. Children never-endingly hope for snow
My aged parents reminisce the stories Of their innocent childhood days Delighted with one or two gifts, and An orange in their stocking always
It’s a natural feeling wanting to provide Your children with all you possibly can My siblings and I had a several more gifts A wonderful Christmas, as always, the plan
With my little Angels the trend continued My husband and I strived to give them more It began with a large sack full of presents As years passed they overflowed to the floor
I would always make some of the gifts Knitting and sewing I thoroughly enjoyed Dolls clothes; a favourite, made many times Winter evenings I was merrily employed
But back then I never gave it a thought To the seeds I unknowingly planted Into their open, fertile young minds A need for more was being started
And now with my grandchildren I can see Especially when money is short, it’s tough To provide all they feel they should give The spiral.. will it ever be enough?
Over the years I continued making some gifts As with each new blessing my family grew An often challenge to make-ends-meet Creating handmade presents saw me through
But in recent times I’ve pondered more on The effects, what I’d change if I could live Those Christmases all over again So, this is the advise I would give…
Ditch the relentless consumerism Impregnated into the mind Insistent, but only about the sell A relief and freedom you will find
Simplify your Christmas Focus on the love and joy Being together and having fun Instill this in every girl and boy
Only give them a few presents You’ll be planting the purest seeds Of gratitude, love and acceptance That simplicity fulfills all their needs
Make as many gifts as you can Developing your own creativity Time spent is a worthwhile investment In yourself, you’ll soon clearly see
Everything in life is made of energy Even objects can contain our thought Making gifts with love enhances them Much more than anything ever bought
When creating for that special person Always work with love in your heart Enjoy the process of your making Your higher vibration you will impart
Children truly learn from example Easily accepting the way you show Teach them the joy of simple giving Their hearts will bloom and grow
All ages of children can take part In creating something for those they love A hand drawn around, or simple picture Giving easily rises them above
I know now I would cherish such gifts, from Children & grandchildren through the years A treasured collection all made with love Would bring joyous memories and a few tears
It’s never too late to start This poem is not a lament If these words ring true to you Take action on your intent!

About This Poem
As the poem tells, I have been thinking of what I would change about the Christmases of my past, not that I regret anything because I know that I did the best I could with what I knew at that time, but more as to how I would advise future generations.
The commercial side of Christmas has infiltrated so deeply into our lives and influences all ages, putting so much pressure on everyone who celebrates Christmas to buy more and do more, in an ever-increasing amount.
In my poem I was focusing on the gift side of Christmas, but I have just read a wonderful post from EarthSkyAir: Solstice that mentions an over-the-top light display nearby, and it reminded me of how, not only do the outside house decorations get bigger every year (in a seeming competition to do the most) but also I’m stunned to see Christmas trees and decorations up inside homes as soon as we begin December!
As EarthSkyAir so wisely says: “The awesomeness of our universe shows us so plainly that love itself remains the truly treasured gift in our lives.
It’s beyond amazing, the gifts we’ve been given. Who needs to go shopping? Let’s just pause and be astonished by what we have.”
Profound words of simple truth, I’ll leave it at that!
Title Quote: Wayne Dyer Radiate An Energy Of Serenity And Peace, So That You Have An Uplifting Effect On Those You Come Into Contact With.
We all radiate our energy Although our eyes do not see Its presence, everywhere we go Is yours dull, or do you glow?
When you walk into a room You can sense the joy or gloom From whoever is there inside Energy shows, it cannot hide
Someone might be feeling sad Or stirred to anger, getting mad If you’re not conscious of your flow Negative vibes in you can grow
But, you don’t have to let it be Your thoughts and feelings set you free Focus on Love and Joy always Your energy, true and pure, will raise
You will then radiate and give Upliftment to all those you’re with Serenity and peace glow from you In all you say, and all you do
Infuse yourself in Love and Light Be a beacon burning bright Radiate, Illuminate, Sparkle, Shine At one with all, Spirit Divine

About This Poem
Many years ago, before I began my Spiritual Path, I would wonder how it was possible to sense when someone was in a bad mood. They didn’t need to speak or even look at you, just walking into the room they were in, you could feel it! But what was more alarming was the way their bad mood would soon affect everyone else around them!
I was given plenty of experience in this phenomena, which at the time I certainly did not appreciate, but now I can see it was a learning experience. We mostly have to experience things to truly understand them and by living through some bad situations we know exactly what we don’t want, and so can strive for what we do. And the only way to do this is to be grateful for the experience, forgive yourself and whoever it concerned, bless it and let it go. And then, put all your attention on what you do want, never giving thought to what you don’t. Then, as more and more of what you do want shows up.. Appreciate it! Give thanks for it! and you will receive more of the same.
Another thing that baffled me was that sometimes people would say they felt calm when they were with me, I probably hadn’t said much at all, as I have always tended to listen more than talk, so I couldn’t see why they would say that. Of course, now I know we radiate out the energy of how we are feeling, and also we can intentionally send out energy to others too.
There is someone I know who had told me he heard and sensed thoughts, I rarely see him, but once (several years ago) when I was visiting someone he was there. I thought I’d try something and while they were talking and he had his back to me I built up a strong sense of love and blasted it at him! He immediately turned around to look at me and smiled, then continued talking. I had no doubt that he felt what I sent.
The basis of everything is vibration In this wonderful world of ours All the people, all physical objects All of nature including its flowers
Everything in life we experience In each and every single day We identify through our senses There truly is no other way
The five basic senses of hearing Sight, taste, touch and smell Are the ones we are taught to use And they do serve us quite well
It’s the vibrational frequencies Our organs transmit to our brain The world around us we distinguish But what does it really contain?
Science in the past has always Used physicality as a proof If you can’t see something’s there How can it be real or the truth?
Today the atom can be viewed To see what there is inside They’ve found just empty space Now the truth just cannot hide
But the most astonishing discovery Science has made in more recent years Is that the observer changes the outcome Everything alters as perception interferes
Science and Spirituality are merging Whichever way you look, you will find It is all about the Energy and Vibration Of how we perceive and are aligned
We all have another sense, the sixth Though many chose to ignore or forget The importance of sensing energy It’s been the most misunderstood yet
We all have this sense to use From the moment of our birth We use the energy around us For all our years on this Earth
Some people can use this sense So much easier than the rest They always trust their intuition Not having to put it to the test
Whatever we may do in this life Begins with a simple thought Created by what’s around us From the vibrations we import
Thoughts usually turn to words As we convey our desires and express Through the way we have learned But, have we really progressed?
A baby understands so much more Than we could ever truly know They are aligned with vibrations That to them so easily flow
If you’ve ever held a baby When you’re in a bad mood You know they’ll pick up on that And either cry or be subdued
All babies come into our world With so much love and wisdom to share They’re pure spirits, aligned with Source And can teach us how to be Aware

About This Poem
In 2011 I began to blog by writing about the photo-quotes I added to my website and Facebook page, both called Spiritual Quotes To Live By. I actually started it here on WordPress, but after awhile moved it over to my site. For simplicity reasons, I thought it best to start with the first photo I added and work my way through, so that I knew exactly what I’d used. However, when taking a peek ahead to what was coming I would occasionally think ‘What on Earth am I going to write about that one?’ Always wanting to ‘go with the flow’ if I was stuck on what to write.. I didn’t. So there would sometimes be long gaps.
At the end of 2016, because I had began to write many more poems I decided to write a poem for each quote instead. That was before I had looked at what the next quote would be! When I saw this one it was definitely a ‘What can I write?’ moment! But after praying and asking for guidance the words just flowed quite easily and I was really pleased that the poem ended up covering so much with what at first seemed a difficult title!
