Physical Not Social

‘Social Distance’ the media terms
To keep us all safe from germs
Always stay two metres apart
When pushing a shopping cart

Do not approach anyone
When exercising out for fun
From friends and family stay away
No ‘home visits’ any day

Work from home if you can
Non-essential jobs have a ban
Caring for the vulnerable is allowed
But never be in a two-plus crowd

Most are now following these rules
Believing those who don’t are fools
But alas, there always will be some
To compassionate wisdom are numb

However, ‘Social Distance’ is not right
As humanity embraces this plight
‘Physical Distance’ is the way
As people interact more each day

Mostly smiles everywhere you go
Empathy radiantly on show
We are all in this together
Getting through the stormy weather

Chatting so easily flows
And not just of the woes
But in gratitude for the way
Essential workers make our day

When we’re out on a walk
From two metres we can talk
Showing kindness to each other
Strangers meeting as a brother

Even just a simple smile
Can lift someone a little while
And help them through enough
If they’re feeling life is tough

Talking of the beauty around
In nature it is always found
And the beauty of all those
Who to the challenge have rose

Social media and telephoning too
Is bringing us together like a glue
Sealing all of the empty space
Between all Souls of the human race

About This Poem

I am in ‘social’ contact much more with my family now than ever before, and I’m sure this is true with almost everyone. We may not be spending time physically together but are chatting by phone or messages much more regularly.

I personally do not believe what is being portrayed in the media about this virus. However, (at the moment) I believe in following the ‘rules’ because I do not want to cause fear in anyone I would otherwise approach. I do not wear a mask or any other protective coverings in public, and I do all I can to uplift those I ‘meet’ knowing that even a simple smile or thank you causes ripples to flow.

I do believe that many positives will come from the negative situation we are all facing right now. One of those being how many more people are now opening their eyes, minds and hearts to the knowing that we are all ONE.

I Am The Love
I Am The Light
I Am The Truth
I Am The Joy
I Am

2020: Apex Of Duality

Right now keeping positive, as much as possible, is a priority for everyone. Being stressed suppresses the immune system, and with the revelations that are now coming forth it will be very easy to caught up in the high drama of it all. With this in mind, I have compiled a page of links to my poems that are relevant at this time:

About the pandemic
Affirmations to keep focused on God within
LightWorker poems
Wisdom for 2020
Sympathy poems for comfort

There is also a slideshow of some of the poems with quotes from others too.
