I follow the teachings of Abraham-Hicks as for me they resonate the highest truth. On my Spiritual Quotes To Live By website I have many pages of Abraham-Hicks quotes on various topics, so I was definitely drawn to using some of these quotes for poem titles and themes.

Update 30th April 2023 – The Great Awakening

This short poem is being included in ‘The Great Awakening’ category as it contains truths that are part of our Awakening. The fact that we are an extension of God/Source has been hid from us through the manipulation of religion, science, education, media etc.. because once we truly know this, we also know that we are extremely powerful creators.

We all have a free-will choice to seek the Light within then to expand and radiate it out to everyone, or, to not acknowledge it and let it become increasingly dim, pushing it deeper and deeper into the depths of the shrinking Soul. Of course, there are various degrees of these opposites. I’m sure we all know of good, Loving, kind people who do not accept anything Spiritual as a part of their life.

God/Source Loves us all, those whose Soul shines brightly as a beacon and those whose Soul has it’s spark smothered by darkness. The dark ones (who are showing up as all the revelations are coming forward) have a long way to go towards showing any of their Light, perhaps many, many lifetimes ahead of them. Although it is also possible that some we see as ‘dark’ are playing a part in bringing people to Awaken to what has been going on for such a very long time, so that we can use our Powerful Source Energy to create a ‘Now’ and a future that is worthy of our true identity: Expressions of God/Source.

About This Poem

This was the first poem I wrote that used a Core Concept from the Conversations With God Book 1 by Neale Donald Walsch as the title and theme. Others that I have already posted are: God Is Communicating With Us All The Time and God Talks To Everyone.

Update 23rd April 2023 – The Great Awakening

Sorting my older poems to compile those that mention anything to do with ‘The Great Awakening’ that we are currently going through worldwide, this one fits in as through all of the confusion that had dominated over the past few years (and more to come, no doubt) it is only through our own inner guidance that we can discern our way through. And, certainly ‘The Path is not always easy to the Light,’ as we see with so many having endured ridicule and censorship through sharing their truths. The Light will prevail and the truth will come to Light!

About This Poem

Years ago I quite often felt upset about so many things, my tears of sadness could easily flow, especially if I was alone and dwelling on negative things. But when I began to understand and use the teachings from Abraham-Hicks I noticed that I was feeling much happier about everything. I didn’t really appreciate how different I felt until I suddenly realized that I hadn’t really cried at all for many years, just the odd tear drop from joy or compassion for others. This quote has been one of the most helpful in changing my whole attitude and perspective on life. 

Nowadays I rarely have to think about ‘Reaching For A Thought That Feels Better‘ as I now naturally don’t dwell on anything I find negative, but a couple of days ago I did have the old experience of feeling sad and helpless. It came out of the blue and because this hadn’t happened in many years I began to think about it more, and then I felt myself sinking and getting sadder, I knew I shouldn’t dwell so I tried not to think about it, but of course that didn’t work! Then I remembered this quote and changed my thoughts to something a little better and put on some uplifting music. This helped a lot but I still didn’t feel my usual self, so I then took my mind totally away from thinking by watching a comedy and by the time it was finished I felt so much better. After that there was no negativity when I thought about the whole aspect of that experience. I now see this as a positive reinforcement of my power to change how I feel.

Although, writing this now another interesting thing has come to my mind…
I now have a much smaller list of my old poems to add to this blog and (unless I’ve written something new) with what I have left I’m finding it not so easy to complete the ‘About This Poem’ part of each post. So, today when I looked through which poem to add (I had nothing new) this one really jumped out at me with the significance of my recent experience!

So, I now have to ask myself, did I (my Higher-Self) create this flash-back to bring myself this clarity? And ultimately words for this post!!!

 

The Law Of Attraction A – Z

All of your life is always created by you
Beauty is everywhere, if you choose to see it
Create anything by thinking about how it would feel to have it
Decide to live each day focusing on the good in all people
Enthusiasm is a guide that you are doing the right thing
Forgive and let go of all negative past events
Go ahead and do what you love

About This Poem

Always on the lookout for ways to develop my understanding of the powerful Law Of Attraction I got the idea of doing this A to Z from the following by the Dalai Lama:

A To Zen Of Life
Avoid negative sources, people, places and habits.

Update 3rd May 2023 – The Great Awakening

All of the statements in my poem are relevant to this current time we are living through. It is very important to remember we are attracting what we are focusing on, so that we can make sure to pay more attention on what we want to create now and in our future, rather than dwelling on all of the darkness that has happened in our past and is now coming to Light at our present time to be cleared.

One of the things that is coming to Light is of many people who we thought were ‘good’ were actually working for the dark and using their ‘celebrity’ status to push charitable work etc.. which undercover was used for money making, child trafficking etc… I mention this here because the Dalai Lama a few weeks ago came up as possibly one of these figures. A video was shown of him being inappropriate with a young boy. The evidence seems to put him under this category, especially as there have been other links with him to organizations that have proved to be nefarious. However, there are also suggestions that his behaviour was part of tradition and that he is possible affected with mind altering aging disabilites. It is difficult to discern the real truth unless a lot of research is done.

As the Light continues to grow stronger, time will tell which is the core truth, and in the meantime, it gives us all a big nudge to question EVERYTHING, including those who we have viewed as the highest Spiritual people alive today.

The Veil To All Knowledge

From where do we come from?
And at death, where do we go?
These are the questions in life
That we all want to know

Is there a God out there? We ask
At times of suffering and woe
How can he let these things happen to us 
If he truly loves us so?

Unconditional love is the key
To unlock the mysteries of time
God loves us unconditionally
No matter what our crime

We have free will to do what we like
We decide how we want to live
We can do no wrong in God’s eyes
There is no sin that God won’t forgive

This is very difficult for most to understand
It doesn’t fit in with what we have been told
We’re taught that God is to be feared – so don’t sin
Do as they say, your life has to fit the mould

But we are all individuals
Our lives aren’t supposed to be the same
What’s good for one person might not be for another
And nobody is to blame

If we could just learn to love as God
Unconditionally to all
We would know the answers to life and death

About This Poem

This was one of my earlier poems and although it is not using a ‘Conversations With God’ (Neale Donald Walsch) quote I can see now that it was based on the teachings from these books. The idea that God sees no wrong-doing was new to me at that time, and writing about it helped me to absorb the teaching.

I had written the above paragraph and then thought I’d check my database to see how early the poem was, and how it fitted in with my Conversations With God poems. This was my second poem intentionally written without a specific event to prompt it, and I was surprised to find (although I shouldn’t have been really) that it was written the day before my first Conversations With God quote poems! 

Update 29th April 2023 – The Great Awakening

Sorting through my old poems to compile those that mention anything to do with ‘The Great Awakening’ that we are currently going through worldwide, I was pleasantly surprised to find this very early one fitted into this category. Programmed to ‘fit in’ with society is now being seen as the manipulation that has controlled man through the ages, and Loving all people unconditionally is one of the highest priorities to Awaken to.

Apart from non-compliance, sending unconditional Love to those who have carried out the darkest of deeds is the quickest way we will overpower the dark. They cannot exist in so much Light. We are all here to grow Spiritually, even those who have a very, very long way to go to even feel compassion for their fellow man. We do not know of their pre-birth intent for this lifetime, nor what they have endured throughout their life. Inside every Soul there is a spark of God, so send Love to that spark, and the dark will be overpowered by the Light.

Thinking

(Poem for children)

What are you thinking, right now this minute,
Is it a good thought with you in it?
Or is it a thought that you are not good enough
You can’t do something because it’s too tough?

Are you thinking about having some fun
Playing with friends out in the sun?
Or are you thinking your friends won’t play
Because they were unkind to you yesterday

You might be thinking of your birthday treat
All the presents you’ll get and good things to eat
Or are you thinking your birthday is so far away
There is no point in getting excited today?

There are good thoughts and there are bad
Some make you happy and others make you sad
If you are not sure if one is good
Does it make you feel better, as it should?

Try always to do your best
To think good thoughts above the rest
Whatever you are thinking, you can change that thought
Into your mind, a better one is easily brought

Although there are two ways to think
What is most important is their special link
For the more often you think in one way
Will affect what you do, and what you say

Over time what you think is what you become
So think happy thoughts and you won’t be glum
Whatever you are thinking is important you know
For it will determine which way you will go
No matter what happens you have the choice
So listen to your friendly inner voice

About This Poem

One of the first poems I wrote ‘Where Is God?‘ was for children. I had not intentionally sat to write that poem many years ago, but it just came to me when my mind was drifting sat on a bus journey through the countryside. In 2013 I decided to have a go at writing some more poems for children that covered spiritual and law of attraction principles. My favourite one was ‘Why Did You Come Here?‘ and there was also one about reincarnation ‘Before We Were Born.’ This one was to teach children about the importance of their thoughts.
