Quote Title & Theme:
Loving People Live In A Loving World.
Hostile People Live In A Hostile World.
But, It’s The Same World.
(Wayne Dyer)
What is your view of the world
Do you think it’s a terrible place?
Full of hostility, dangerous crime
Neglect, greed and waste
Or do you see the true Light
That shines everywhere around?
Strangers are just friends, not met
Love in all, can always be found
Why do some people live in fear
Always worried of things they dread?
Yet others bless each new day
Giving thanks for all that’s ahead
What you focus on you will see
In your world each and everyday
All your experiences you bring forth
In what you think, do and say
In truth negativity has to exist
For positive to show the way
Free-will is given to all
You choose the path you lay
Everyone has negativity and doubt
Much instilled when they were young
Layers built through the generations
Enveloping since their life begun
Topped up with spoon-fed lack
Materialism, aggression and fear
A them-verses-us life attitude
Ensnares all who don’t steer clear
Thoughts and beliefs are the key
To unlock your perception door
What you expect you will see
Ingrained ‘truths’ permeate your core
Your world is an extension of your beliefs
Projected for you to experience and grow
If you’re not happy with what you see
Change your thought-channel for a new show
Intention powers resolution
When improvement of Being is sought
No matter the depth of a belief
Everyone can change a thought
To keep positive in this world
You have to remain aware
Of what you feed your mind
And whose company you share
Feed yourself Love and Light
Through all your senses each day
Steer away from the opposite
And in Source-alignment you’ll play
To live in a world full of Love
With beautiful sights everywhere
Use your heart as your eyes
And God’s view you will share

About This Poem
This is one of my favourite Wayne Dyer quotes as it’s simplicity clearly explains a great truth: Our perception creates our world.
When we are born we are pure beings of love, with no fear at all. Over the early years we take on the emotions of those around us and it’s not until we are around seven that we begin to start forming our own ideas of the world, but it will stem from whatever our experience has been. Over the following childhood years, wanting to fit in with our peers, their energy patterns easily merge with our own and it’s usually years later before we begin to truly question our ingrained beliefs and thought patterns.. if at all!
I have a list of quotes to use for poems and when I chose this one yesterday it was for no apparent reason than it stood out to me. Now in writing this I am aware of a link to a programme on Netflix I watched the day before: Derren Brown’s show ‘Sacrifice’ in which he worked with a man who had been ingrained with a strong prejudice against illegal immigrants. Derren wanted to see if he could make this man ‘take a bullet’ for a complete stranger who was also an illegal immigrant. I won’t say too much about what happened incase anyone wants to watch it. But, it clearly shows many insights. One of the exercises in feeling compassion and empathy was so simple, but extremely powerful and beautiful.
Although I don’t share all of Derren Brown’s views, I do enjoy many of his shows as he demonstrates the power of the mind so brilliantly. It’s some of his television specials that I find particularly fascinating, apart from ‘Sacrifice’ (2018) the other ones are ‘Hero At 30,000 Feet’ (2010) in which Derren took an ordinary man who felt stuck in a rut and coached him to take control of his life and achieve his aspirations, culminating in him taken a flight (he had a fear of flying) and volunteering to land the plane when the pilot was supposedly unable. And in ‘Pushed To The Edge’ (2016) Derren demonstrated how easy it is for people to be totally manipulated, even to the point of pushing someone off a roof to their apparent death!
Although Derren’s shows are very dramatic, often with very negative aspects and these are the types of programme I make a point of not watching, I know it is okay to watch them because no one will in-fact be harmed, and they always demonstrate and teach a greater understanding of mind power which by far outweighs the negativity.

I love this poem with the quote from Wayne, with such practical applications to begin de-programming from our ingrained absorbed negative and limiting thoughts, and begin to change our perceptions to co-create and attract the world of Peace and Love we want to see, with awareness and mindfulness. Also a lovely joyful picture of your grandchildren playing and having fun (already living in a loving world)!
(I must go and check out Netflix! Thanks for recommending!) 🙂 ❤ Sending love and light to you and gratitude for the ongoing inspiration! ❤

Thank you Amira for your kind words and your brilliant description (wow, what a sales pitch that would make!!! 🙂 ) The picture was one of those synchronistic moments as I chose the verse I wanted to use and opened up the program to find this picture waiting on a blank page ready to edit. It was a perfect fit for the verse with the lighter and darker sides, loving brothers playing and on a swing that can be steered! I hope you find the programme interesting.
Love, Light & Blessings ❤
