The Super Power

We all have a Super Power
The strongest there can be
Universally given to all
Young and old, you and me

It can penetrate all substances
Fly around the world in no time
Melt even the coldest of hearts
And cease the hurt of any crime

You can build up its strength
With the more that you use
This Power is Invincible
Blasted to wherever you choose

Our Power brings forth good
Showering others in it’s rays
Bringing Joyfulness as it lands
Empowering in abundant ways

It’s rays can heal all disease
Illnesses fatal and those slight
The person receiving the Power
Just has to believe it is right

This Super Power has no limits
Even dying cannot stop it’s depth
It is the only thing to penetrate
The two worlds of life and death

Superman or Superwoman
Superbaby and Superchild
We need no special outfit
Just let your imagination run wild

Shine your Green Lantern or any colour
Be The Flash that shows the way
The true Guardians Of The Galaxy
Will then appear and they will stay

LOVE is our Super Power
LOVE will always save the day
LOVE is God, the ALL-THAT-IS
LOVE unites us in every way

About This Poem

I awoke this morning with this title imprinted on my mind, although I gave up watching Superhero films many years ago I knew that the poem I was to write had to feature them!

There are three things I can think of that may have given way to this theme:  I have been wondering how I can write to attract and appeal to a younger audience, and have some fun topics. Also, somewhere over the past few months I read about why there is such a fascination for Superheroes at this present time. The article (I have not been able to find it, but if I do I will add an update) said that it is because people have an inner-knowing that we do indeed possess Super Powers and as more of us become Aware and Awake these powers will manifest more easily.

I think this has been the fastest I have ever completed a poem:  title, writing the poem, making the picture and doing the write up all in a few hours. The longest part was finding the right photograph! I knew I had one of my grandson dressed up and climbing a door-frame which I thought would be perfect, but then I discovered this one taken on the same day and thought was even better! I also would usually leave a poem for a day to re-read with fresh eyes, but I feel an urgent need to get this one ‘out there’ TODAY!

Update 8th May 2023 – The Great Awakening

In this time of The Great Awakening, it is our Super Power of Love that is the fastest way to bring Light to all of the darkness, so it can be eliminated, and with our Super Power of Love we will create our New Earth of Compassion, Peace, and of course, LOVE.
